What's new: Neighbourhood Plan Consultation

Neighbourhood Plan Consultation
31 October to 13 December 2017

The Draft Goring on Thames Neighbourhood Plan and Sustainability Appraisal will be published for Regulation 14 (village) consultation on Tuesday 31st October 2017. The consultation period will end at 5:00 pm on Wednesday 13th December 2017.

The Draft Neighbourhood Plan and Sustainability Appraisal list four sites in the parish deemed suitable for development together with supporting evidence.

A full copy of the Plan, Sustainability Appraisal and Appendices will be available at the Goring Village Library in Station Road and at the Goring on Thames Parish Council office in Red Cross Road; the plan and supporting evidence will also be available at www.goringplan.co.uk.

A short summary of the Plan will be delivered to every dwelling in the village.

The consultation is to provide people with the opportunity to consider the Plan and make comment prior to submission to the Planning Authority, South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC).

This is the parish's last opportunity to amend the Plan as that cannot be done after submission to SODC.

SODC will then carry out a further six week minimum consultation prior to submission to an Independent Examiner who will determine if the Plan should go for Referendum.

Goring Parish Council

The Goring on Thames Parish Council is made up of elected, unpaid, volunteers, a Clerk and a Planning Clerk. We strive to represent the interests of the village and its residents.
Both the Full Council and Planning Commitee meet regularly.

Goring on Thames Parish Council offices are located between the health centre and the hardware store on Red Cross Road.

The office is usually open to the public on Mondays from 2pm to 5pm and on Wednesdays from 10am to 1pm and at other times by appointment. It is always advisable to ring first as there is only one member of staff who may occasionally need to be elsewhere.
